Congratulations to our members of the National Jr. BETA club! This morning we had our special tapping ceremony for these honored students. We had a great time acknowledging their accomplishments and encouraging them to continue in excellence.
Thanks to all the parents that came and supported their student.
We are all very proud of you students! Thanks for the outstanding job.... now keep up the good work!
Last Wednesday, April 17th, our Jr. BETA club was asked to help in a presentation of Aesop's Fables. The kids did an outstanding job and represented WPES in an excellent manner! Above you will find a file that you can click on to see more of the fun we had. We appreciate the Noccalula Kiwana's for inviting us to perform and being so gracious.
This Friday, April 19th, we will have Preview Day. The fair will be held April 22nd-25th. Instead of a Family night, we will be having Parent Days during this fair. On Monday, April 22nd Kindergarten and 1st grade parents are welcome to come and shop with their children. On Tuesday, April 23rd, 2nd and 3rd grade parents are invited. On Wednesday, April 24th, 4th and 5th grade parents are invited to shop.
We are excited about our fair and hope to raise lots of money to put back into the library! Each fair we have raised over $500.00 for purchase of books, rewards, and reading items for the students. Last fair our goal was $1,000 and we made that goal plus some! I am setting our goal for this fair at $1,000 in hopes that we again pass it with flying colors!
Look for Book Fair shopping guides to come home tomorrow. Please go through these with your kids and mark what you have decided on purchasing. This makes it much easier to help the children find their picks and keeps them from purchasing something you had rather they not have.
We look forward to seeing you throu

This project could have been a multimedia, podcast, webpage, or class project. The students worked on these projects on their own. Mrs. Glover and Mrs. Williams were their sponsors.
Out of the 10 students that participated, 7 won!!!!! We are so proud of the accomplishments that were made last Friday! Thanks to the teachers and the students for working hard and making WPES VERY proud!!!!
